Patients and conditions
we work with

Alzheimer's disease
We study how new treatments that remove harmful proteins from the brain improve brain health and cognition. Learn more.

Stroke and
moyamoya
We study how the brain compensates for blood vessel narrowing and how imaging of vessel properties may help to assign treatment. Learn more.

Huntington's disease
We study how fluid moves through the brain's of patients with Huntington's disease and whether this information can inform how new therapies are delivered. Learn more.

Sickle cell disease
We use new markers of brain and vessel health to evaluate how emerging gene and stem cell therapies reduce stroke risk and patients with sickle cell. Learn more.

Sleep disorders
and mindfulness
We study how the waste clearance of the brain changes during aging, and how sleep and meditation exercises can improve these clearance processes. Learn more.

Lymphedema
We study how physical therapy and surgical approaches can treat or prevent lymphedema, and whether new lymphatic imaging approaches can help monitor condition progression. Learn more.
Technologies we develop

Medical imaging
We develop new methods for assessing brain function and anatomy using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET). Learn more.

Software
We develop new deep learning and computational approaches to help inform large-scale interpretation of neuroimaging and clinical trial data. Learn more.

Data dissemination
Data collected through our trials are made freely available here for purposes of reproducing or extending findings. Learn more.
